Since July 2015, SUMA in partnership with the White Ribbon Alliance India(WRAI) has initiated advocacy efforts on Quality of Care for Maternal and Newborn Healthcare services. The project aims to build capacities of SUMA members and key influencers to advocate for Quality of Care on three aspects viz. Human Resource, Budget and Infrastructure. This project is being implemented by SUMA partners in three blocks from three districts of Rajasthan state, namely – Dungarpur, Udaipur and Rajsamand.
Capacity building of SUMA partners
Two trainings have been organised two trainings for partners. One was on Advocacy on Quality of care for Maternal and Newborn Health and the second on budget tracking in partnership with the White Ribbon Alliance India , Budget Analysis and Resource Centre and Centre for Budget Analysis.
Campaign on Women’s Right to Continuum of Quality Care
A state-wide campaign coinciding with Safe Motherhood Day was implemented during 7th to 18th April2016.
