Centre for Health, Education, Training and Nutrition Awareness (CHETNA) is providing a wonderful opportunity to work for gender equality and women’s empowerment in Gujarat. CHETNA is initiating a project to provide technical support to Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme in four districts of Gujarat viz Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana and Patan. The project aims to support the district project teams to develop convergent action plans and implement the same to achieve the goals of the scheme.

CHETNA invites applications from interested individuals for the post of District Coordinator

Qualification: A first class post graduation degree in social work, management, sociology, public health, Rural Development, Gender and Development.

Experience: Three years of work in women’s empowerment, gender issues, health, nutrition, education. At least one year experience of working with the district health or women and child development department, Government of Gujarat is preferred.

Roles: The district coordinator is expected to coordinate with the district nodal officer for planning, implementation and documentation of the project activities. The coordinator is expected to conduct field visits and travel in the district and at the state level.

Salary: The post is project based and CHETNA will provide learning opportunities to the candidate. The expected salary will be 25,000/- pm and Travel Allowance as per CHETNA’s norms.
